Great to meet you!

I have over a decade of experience working with clients struggling with a broad range of complex and single traumas, substance use, anxiety, depression, and more. My primary training is in the intersection of mindfulness and body-awareness as framed by Buddhist Psychology, though I have training in Motivational Interviewing, CBT, Internal Family Systems, and process-oriented work.

My approach to therapy

There are many ways I describe my work, but I often think of therapy as similar to mountaineering: We tether to another person as we build trust and explore the natural landscape of our humanness. At times treacherous and scary; at times beautiful and profound. The aim is not to curate this expanse, but instead to build familiarity so that we can be more sure-footed as we walk through our lives with increasing skill... Comfort and ease within the chaos and uncertainty that can be everyday life.

What you can expect from me

I strive to hold space with clients to create an open and collaborative environment that is oriented towards each individual's needs and goals. Sessions tend to be conversational in nature with a curiosity brought to the present-moment experiences of thoughts, feelings, and impulses.
