Great to meet you!

I am a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with more than 10 years of experience in the mental health field. As an Army veteran and educator, I bring a unique combination of clinical expertise, leadership, discipline, and a commitment to lifelong learning to every patient encounter. My mission is to provide compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered psychiatric care that empowers individuals to achieve optimal mental health and overall well-being.

I conduct comprehensive psychiatric and medical assessments to accurately diagnose mental health conditions and develop individualized treatment plans that address each patient's unique needs and goals. I prescribe and manage psychiatric medications, monitor their effectiveness and potential side effects, and make appropriate adjustments to optimize treatment outcomes. Through regular follow-up appointments, I evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed to ensure the highest quality of care.

I believe that effective mental health treatment requires a collaborative approach. I work closely with physicians, therapists, social workers, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to provide coordinated, integrated care that supports the whole person. I am equally committed to educating patients and their families about treatment options, medication management, preventive care, and healthy lifestyle choices, empowering them to actively participate in their recovery and long-term wellness.

As an educator, I am passionate about mentoring future healthcare professionals and promoting evidence-based practice. I remain committed to staying current with the latest research, clinical guidelines, and advancements in psychiatric and integrated healthcare to ensure my patients receive the highest standard of care.

My approach to therapy

Clients can expect a welcoming, supportive, and judgment-free environment where they feel heard, respected, and understood. The first session is focused on getting to know you—your concerns, goals, strengths, and what has brought you to seek support at this time.

Together, we'll discuss your current challenges, relevant history, and what you hope to achieve through our work. We'll identify your priorities and begin creating a personalized plan that aligns with your needs, values, and goals. Whether you're seeking support for stress, anxiety, life transitions, relationships, or personal growth, we'll collaborate to establish realistic, meaningful objectives.

By the end of the first session, you can expect to have a clearer understanding of the therapeutic process, an initial set of goals, and a sense of the next steps. My goal is to create a safe, collaborative space where you feel empowered, supported, and confident in moving forward.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my priority is to create a welcoming, respectful, and judgment-free environment where you feel comfortable sharing your concerns at your own pace. I believe that building trust is the foundation of effective mental health care, and I strive to ensure that every client feels heard, valued, and understood.

Our initial appointment is a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation during which I will learn about your current concerns, medical and mental health history, medications, lifestyle, and personal goals. Together, we will discuss the challenges you are facing, identify your strengths, and develop a treatment plan that is tailored to your individual needs and preferences.

If medication is appropriate, I will explain the available options, discuss the potential benefits and side effects, and answer any questions you may have so you can make informed decisions about your care. I also believe in a collaborative approach, encouraging open communication and shared decision-making throughout the treatment process.

My goal is for you to leave the first session with a better understanding of your symptoms, a clear plan for moving forward, and confidence that you have a partner who is committed to supporting your mental health journey. Together, we will work toward improving your emotional well-being, developing effective coping strategies, and helping you achieve lasting stability and a better quality of life.
