Great to meet you!
I graduated from the University of Florida’s Counselor Education program in 1992 with both my Master’s and Specialist degrees in counseling. I continue to train in a wide range of therapeutic models to sharpen my skills, stay current with evidence-based practices, and offer my clients the highest quality of care.
I believe life is short, and any opportunity to help others find peace and greater possibilities for happiness is a meaningful way to spend mine.
With many years of private practice experience, and working in a variety mental health settings, there are very few issues I haven’t encountered. I am a seasoned therapist with extensive training in couples therapy (including EFT, Gottman, and other modalities), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and trauma-focused approaches such as EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, guided imagery, visualization, and stress-management techniques.
In addition, I am highly trained in addressing parenting concerns and previously served as the Supervisor of Mental Health Counseling Services at the University of Florida, working with pregnant and postpartum parents to strengthen family systems. My seven years as a provider for Peaceful Paths, a domestic violence shelter & program, have also equipped me with significant experience supporting individuals navigating intimate partner violence.
I am proud of the work I do. I am currently working exclusively with adults and individual clients.
