Hello. I, Thletha D. Yates, am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor and Clinical Supervisor offering psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, families, youth, young and older adults between ages 13 and up to centenarians. As a psychotherapist, I use a range of modalities that can assist with managing mental health and wellness in a healthy way. I am skilled and experienced to help with emotional challenges and some challenging psychiatric disorders.

My approach to therapy

With more than 13 years of experience in professional counseling services, I encouraged clients to be their best authentic selves. This approach has been impactful in every settings I have experienced including private practice, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, residential, substance abuse recovery and community services. My experience has been most favorable with clients with relationship or interrelation problems, managing anxiety, managing depression, anger management challenges, complex grief, impulsiveness, complex trauma and controlling challenging behaviors.

My experience extends from helping individuals, couples, and families from diverse populations with anger issues, interpersonal challenges, low self-worth, family conflicts, relationship problems, adjustment challenges, complex grief and trauma. In therapy, it is always my intention to ensure that each individual feels safe and supported to gain a deeper insight into understanding their emotions, thinking patterns and behaviors.
