Great to meet you!

I have a decade of experience working with adults and teens across inpatient, outpatient, and community-based settings. I work best with adults and older teens who want to better understand themselves. Many come to therapy because they're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, life transitions, identity concerns, or the sense that something in life no longer feels right. Rather than focusing only on symptoms or diagnoses, I take a holistic approach, helping you understand your thoughts and emotions within the context of your relationships, physical health, culture, community, and past experiences so you can move through life with greater clarity and intention.

My approach to therapy

My work is grounded in psychodynamic therapy, which means I'm interested in understanding not only what you're struggling with, but how those struggles came to be. Together, we'll explore the experiences that shape your thoughts, emotions, and relationships while working toward meaningful, lasting change. I also offer Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another. I'll want to understand what brings you to therapy and how those struggles fit within the broader context of your life, relationships, and history. I'll also be curious about any previous experiences you've had in therapy, what was helpful or unhelpful, and what you're hoping for from our work together. You'll have plenty of opportunities to ask me questions as well, and I'll explain how I work so you'll have a clear sense of what to expect if we decide to move forward together.
