Great to meet you!

I’m a psychotherapist, humanities scholar, Navy veteran, and Registered Professional Archaeologist with an expertise in Native American rock art, and I bring all of these experiences into the room. I’ve worked with children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, and I now focus on trauma‐informed care for people seeking depth‐oriented psychotherapy. My background includes EMDR, Prolonged Exposure, and other evidence‐based trauma treatments widely used across the VA and military branches, along with experiential approaches like equine‐assisted and animal‐assisted support.

I’m warm, empowering, inquisitive, and creative. I listen closely and work collaboratively to help people understand themselves more fully. My approach blends evidence‐based care with a deep appreciation for stories, relationships, and experiences that shape a person’s life. I also provide LCSW Supervision and stay deeply engaged in ongoing professional education, including emerging tools like virtual reality for phobias and trauma work.

People who work with me can expect steadiness, curiosity, and a clear therapeutic framework. I’m committed to helping clients build insight, emotional capacity, and meaningful change.

My approach to therapy

I see therapy as a relational exploration of the human psyche that helps people to live with more truth, more freedom, and more connection. I work in a warm, empowering, and inquisitive way to help people understand themselves and create meaningful change.

What you can expect from me

The first session will be a conversation focused on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask about your history, your current concerns, and what you hope to gain from therapy. You can expect a welcoming atmosphere and clear guidance about what the process will look like. We’ll talk through your personal goals and decide on a direction that feels right. My aim is for you to leave the first session feeling heard and understood.
