Great to meet you!

You Don’t Have to Face It Alone

Feeling overwhelmed? Struggling with anxiety, depression, or the challenges of everyday life? You don’t have to face it alone.

My name is Thomas (Michael) Dale, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with nearly 30 years of experience providing therapy services. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology, followed by a master’s degree in educational psychology from the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process. My role is to provide a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment where you can feel comfortable sharing your experiences. Together, we can explore what you’re experiencing, better understand the challenges you’re facing, identify what may be holding you back, and develop strategies to help you move forward.

Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, or simply feeling overwhelmed by life’s challenges, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

If you’re ready to take the next step, I’m here to listen. You deserve support, understanding, and the opportunity to create meaningful and lasting change in your life.

My approach to therapy

My Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), with a focus on trauma, PTSD, and anxiety disorders. I also incorporate a Person-Centered approach, providing services to individuals and couples as we work together to better understand their needs, concerns, emotions, and patterns that may be affecting their lives and relationships.

I strive to create a warm, compassionate, and supportive environment where you can feel safe exploring your experiences, emotions, and challenges. Together, we will work toward meaningful, positive change while developing practical tools and strategies to help you navigate life’s challenges.

I believe therapy should be personalized to each individual. After listening to your concerns and gaining a deeper understanding of what brings you to therapy, we will work together to develop a treatment approach that reflects your unique needs, experiences, and goals. My goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that helps you navigate life’s challenges, develop effective coping skills, and gain a greater sense of well-being. Together, we can work toward meaningful and lasting positive change.

What you can expect from me

What Can You Expect from Your First Session?

Your first therapy session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. I will listen to your concerns, experiences, and goals while creating a comfortable and supportive environment where you can feel heard, respected, and understood.

You do not need to have everything figured out before your first session. Simply coming in and being willing to talk is a meaningful first step. Together, we will begin exploring your needs and identifying ways therapy can support you in moving forward.

My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling listened to, understood, and hopeful about the process ahead.
