Anxiety, Depression, and Trauma

Great to meet you!

I have been in the field of social work for almost forty-five years. I have an undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin and my MSW is from Loyola University of Chicago. I have four post-maters certificates from the Silver School of Social Work at NYU. I also a certificate in trauma treatment from NJNASW. My areas of interest are the major mental illnesses such as depression and anxiety. I am interested in working with adult survivors of child sexual abuse and trauma.

A bit about my approach to therapy

The work of Michael White and Narrative Therapy has great meaning to me. Looking at the narrative and reworking it to help the patient understand the problem-knowing at the same time, the problem is the problem, not the patient. Specializations are noted above. I enjoy in-person work with patients but have adapted to virtual work. I believe and support in every patient's ability to change.

What you can expect from our first session

You can expect to work with a therapist who is patient, empathic and does not give up on you as a patient. You can expect me to be current on the most up-to-date evidenced backed trainings and modalities in the field of mental health. I will meet you where you are in your own journey to mental wellness. Together, we will set personalized and attainable goals.
