Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Thomas Mathew, a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner. I provide compassionate, patient centered mental health care with a focus on understanding the whole person, not just symptoms. My approach is supportive, collaborative, and individualized, with attention to both mental and physical wellbeing. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, and my goal is to help clients feel heard, balanced, and empowered throughout their healing journey.

My approach to therapy

My approach to care is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on the whole person. I believe mental health is connected to many parts of life, including physical health, stress, sleep, relationships, and daily routines, so I take time to truly understand each client’s experiences, challenges, and goals.

I provide evidence based psychiatric care with a balanced and practical approach that may include medication management, supportive therapy, education, and healthy lifestyle strategies when appropriate. My style is calm, supportive, and nonjudgmental, and I want clients to feel comfortable, heard, and involved in their care every step of the way.

I work with adolescents and adults experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, trauma related conditions, mood changes, sleep difficulties, psychotic disorders, and other emotional or behavioral challenges that affect daily life and wellbeing.

My goal is to help clients feel more understood, supported, balanced, and empowered as they work toward better mental health and long term wellness.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where they can feel comfortable being themselves. During the first session, I take time to listen and understand what they are going through, including their symptoms, stressors, lifestyle, sleep, medical history, and personal goals.

The first visit is really about getting to know each other and creating a plan together that feels realistic and supportive. We may talk about past experiences, current challenges, coping strategies, and treatment options, including medications if appropriate.

My goal is for clients to leave the session feeling heard, understood, and more hopeful about moving forward.
