Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience providing care and support to people with mental health and substance use concerns. I seek to provide a collaborative, judgment free environment where individuals can heal from the challenges and hardships that life dishes out. I believe that everyone can live a worthwhile life of value, meaning and connection.

My approach to therapy

My primary treatment modality is Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. ACT focuses on accepting difficult thoughts and feelings rather than struggling against them while simultaneously committing to actions aligned with your personal values to create a rich and meaningful life. ACT is an evidence based practice proven to be highly effective for treating depression, anxiety, addiction and more. I work in the spirit of Motivational Interviewing, a collaborative endeavor with a genuine commitment to understanding your struggles, motivations, and desires for a better life.

What you can expect from me

I always start with an introductory session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. We’ll work together to figure this out! I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable, while also feeling secure. From there, we’ll work together in the sessions that follow to make these goals a reality for you.
