Great to meet you!

I have worked in mental health since 2008, and I have worked in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings. I practice as both a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Addiction Counselor, and am experienced working with substance abuse and dual diagnosis issues. I have formal training in CBT, Career Counseling, Trauma Informed Counseling, Culturally Sensitive Counseling, Empowered Recovery Pain Management CBT, and R3 Crisis Management and Debriefing.

Compared to other counselors I tend to take a more solution focused approach where we identify goals, and track action towards them.

My approach to therapy

I provide therapy that draws from multiple styles based on the client’s needs, though typically I focus on a solution-oriented and individualized style, where I seek to understand the client’s goals, individual strengths, and barriers, and to help the client recognize and change systemic patterns.

I specialize in helping clients with issues related to the workplace or working. Some clients are referred to me due to problems with work-life balance, feeling stuck at work, difficulty advancing a career, toxic employers, or other workplace or career related issues.

What you can expect from me

The first session often involves a high level of me gathering information from you in order to be prepared for future sessions. If we have time, we identify the initial goals of treatment as well.
