Thomas F. Vacchio is a recent graduate of Hofstra University where he graduated with his Psy.D. in School-Community Psychology. Dr. Vacchio was immersed in every aspect of clinical training. Therein, Dr. Vacchio gained extensive experience working with issues that include but are not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, adjustment, relationships, family, grief, abuse, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), bereavement and personality disorders.

My approach to therapy

As a treatment modality, Dr. Vacchio utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy while also incorporating aspects of Positive Psychology to help his clients live their best life possible. Dr. Vacchio believes in a collaborative approach to treatment, with a strong emphasis on cultivating, developing and enhancing the therapeutic relationship.
