Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Tia Sanders, a Milwaukee native, with 10+ years of experience focusing on maternal health, depression, anxiety, life transitions and substance abuse. I work with adults and young adults from diverse and undeserved communities - if you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or ready for support, I invite you to take that first step. Together, we can explore where you are, where you want to go, and the strengths and resources you already have to help you move forward.

My approach to therapy

As a Solution-Focused Therapist, my approach is collaborative, personalized, strengths-based, and trauma-informed. I believe you are more than the challenges you are facing, and therapy should provide a safe, judgment-free space where you feel heard, respected, and supported. Using CBT, DBT-informed skills, Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered Therapy, we can develop practical coping skills, clarify your goals, and take intentional steps toward meaningful progress. My services begin with meeting you where you are and reciprocating positive energy.

Healing happens through empowered choices—one choice at a time.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and talk openly about what brings you to therapy. We’ll have a relaxed conversation about what you hope to get from counseling, what you’re currently experiencing, and what you would like support with. There is no pressure to have all the answers or know exactly where to begin. Most importantly, you can expect a safe, supportive, and judgment-free space where you can be yourself, talk openly, and simply have a place to vent. We’ll begin identifying what matters most to you and what you would like to work toward, at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

Let’s explore “Choices.” Say it with me: I-N-T-E-N-T-I-O-N-A-L-I-T-Y. Intentional work can create meaningful progress.
