Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Tia Stevens and am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I have a MA in Marital and Family therapy from Alliant International University. My areas of focus are couples therapy, whether that is premarital, marriage, welcoming a new baby, separation or just communication issues. I also work with individuals who may be experiencing anxiety or any postpartum mood disorder.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is solution-focused, and direct. I believe that when we challenge ourselves, growth can come in. I strive to be my authentic self in sessions, and normalize that we are all human.

What you can expect from me

My first session with clients, usually involves gathering necessary information about why you made the choice to begin therapy, and start to look at some goals you may have in mind. I understand everyone moves at their own pace, and also try to incorporate time for rapport building to establish a safe therapeutic relationship.
