My approach to therapy

My Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I believe therapy should be a safe space where individuals feel heard, respected, and understood without judgment. I meet each person where they are and recognize that their experiences, strengths, relationships, and circumstances all play an important role in their healing.

I believe clients are the experts in their own lives. My role is to provide support, clinical insight, and practical tools while working alongside each individual to identify goals, develop healthier coping strategies, process difficult experiences, and create meaningful change.

I take a holistic approach to behavioral health, considering the connection between thoughts, emotions, behaviors, relationships, trauma, and life circumstances. I strive to build a genuine therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, honesty, empathy, and respect.

Whether working through trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, substance-use issues, life transitions, or other challenges, I believe meaningful progress can occur when people have the opportunity to feel safe, understood, and empowered to move forward.

What you can expect from me

What Clients Can Expect From Your First Session

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know each other and begin understanding what brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your current concerns, your goals, your personal history, and the areas of your life that may be affecting your emotional well-being.

You can expect a comfortable, judgment-free environment where you can share at your own pace. We’ll work together to identify what you would like to change or better understand and begin developing a plan that fits your individual needs.

You do not have to have everything figured out before your first appointment. You simply need to show up as you are. My goal is for you to leave your first session feeling heard, respected, and supported—and with a clearer sense of where we can begin.
