Great to meet you!

am a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with a Concentration in Traumatic Stress Psychology, an Evergreen Certified EMDR Clinician (EMDR-C) and a Narcissistic Abuse Treatment Clinician (NATC). I reside in the state of Colorado and completed licensure requirements in 2017. I have completed certification for the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology across PSYPACT approved states (you can see if your state is approved here - https://psypact.gov/page/psypactmap). I have been providing therapeutic and psychological assessment services for eleven years, with a myriad of experiences ranging from work in inpatient, residential and outpatient settings. I have provided individual, couples, family and group therapies to individuals across the lifespan. The majority of my graduate experience was with adults with severe and persistent mental illness, grief & loss (loss of personal health, bereavement, loss of significant relationships) and histories or ongoing complex trauma/ abuse. Subsequently, my clinical work has focused on trauma based therapies and evidenced based therapies provided to teens and adults.

My approach to therapy

I am certified in multiple evidence-based trauma therapies to include: EMDR, Narccisstic Abuse Treatment, cognitive processing therapy, which is often used for single incident trauma/abuse and skills training for interpersonal and affective regulation, utilized for chronic, long-standing trauma/abuse. With respect to grief and loss, I utilize a relational constructivist approach. Additionally, I am well-versed and trained in dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), cognitive behavior therapy(CBT) and trauma-focused therapy. I am more than happy to share my approaches to therapy to see if my perspective is a good fit for you and your goals!

What you can expect from me

In this first session, the primary goals are completing and reviewing the intake packet, discussing what is bringing you to therapy at this time and what you are rights are. My primary interest is understanding what is important to you, what supports you need in this moment, what your strengths are and what your hopes are for therapy. The initial appointment is also an opportunity to assess whether the therapeutic fit meets your needs, where you are able to ask questions about the therapy process and my orientation to therapy because finding a therapist who can connect with therapeutically is of upmost importance.
