Great to meet you!

Welcome! I am so glad you found me. I am a highly trained therapist who works with children and adolescents ages 3-18 as well as young adults and parents. I received my undergraduate degree from Dallas Baptist University and my Masters in Counseling from the University of North Texas. I am an LPC, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. I have also worked with foster and adoptive children and their families and I am trauma-informed as well having a broad range of experience in education. I have two therapy dogs who often join me in sessions. George is an experienced helper while Charolette is still a puppy in training. I have been working with children for over 20 years.

My approach to therapy

I use multiple means of therapy depending on the needs of each individual client. No situation is exactly the same so I listen intently to your needs before making decisions about treatment plans. I have extensive knowledge of many modalities including but not limited to play-therapy and animal-assisted therapy. I have experience with a multitude of issues including but not limited to depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, abuse, ADHD, and other neurodivergent diagnoses or issues, as well as behavior skills training.

What you can expect from me

Fostering a safe place to share and express feelings is very important to me. I create an open environment with positive regard for my clients without judgment of the circumstances they find themselves in. In your first session, you should expect to feel seen and heard as we explore what brings you to counseling. Your treatment goals will be developed as a partnership between us as we explore together.
