Great to meet you!

I believe therapy should feel like a place where you can finally exhale and be yourself. I’m Tiffany Irving, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) licensed in Nevada and California. I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University and have experience helping adults navigate anxiety, stress, burnout, low self-esteem, mild depression, relationship concerns, and major life transitions.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and practical. I believe you are the expert on your own life, so we’ll work together to understand what’s been weighing you down, recognize your strengths, and identify the changes that feel meaningful to you.

I use a Person-Centered approach to create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can be honest about what you’re experiencing without feeling pressured or judged. I also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you recognize unhelpful thought patterns, understand how your thoughts influence your emotions and behaviors, and develop healthier ways of responding to challenges.

Depending on your needs, I may also incorporate Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing to help you identify what’s already working, overcome barriers to change, and take practical steps toward your goals. My goal is for you to leave therapy with greater self-awareness, confidence, and tools you can use in your everyday life—not just during our sessions.

What you can expect from me

Therapy begins with getting to know you—not just what brings you to therapy, but what you hope will be different in your life. During our first sessions, we’ll talk about what you’ve been experiencing, identify your strengths, explore patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and create goals that feel realistic and meaningful to you.

As therapy progresses, we’ll work together using practical tools to help you better understand the connection between your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. You can expect a supportive space where we can be honest about what’s working, what isn’t, and adjust our approach as your needs change.

Therapy is not meant to last forever. As you begin feeling more confident managing challenges, using your tools independently, and noticing meaningful progress toward your goals, we’ll discuss gradually bringing therapy to a close. My hope is that you leave therapy not because life is perfect, but because you feel better equipped to navigate it.
