Great to meet you!

I truly believe that I have been through a variety of situations, both personal and professional, to help me have empathy for my clients. I am known to be a direct, caring, and effective therapist. I feel that the worth of a person is not dependent on their current situation. With determination and willingness to challenge old thinking patterns anyone can be successful!

I decided I wanted to help others, and earned a Master's Degree in Social Work. I have worked in various environments and done various types of therapy. Including: adult individual therapy, end of life care, trauma therapy, juvenile therapy and have had my own practice for over 16 years.

My approach to therapy

I believe the first step is to get to know the client and to assure the client that I know that they know themselves better than I ever will. Then I work on helping the client identify clear goals and steps to recognize achievements towards those goals. Typically the next step is utilizing Solution Focused or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help them reach those goals; however, every client is their own person and next steps vary individually.

What you can expect from me

My goal is that every client leaves my office with a sense of hope and a willingness to explore past believes and biases that have held them back from finding the happiness they are searching for.
