Great to meet you!

I began my career in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, where I worked with patients and families as they navigated mental health crises and transitions out of the hospital. After attending Seattle University for graduate school, I moved into medical social work followed by a return to inpatient psychiatry. Working across psychiatric and medical settings gave me the opportunity to support people through the most vulnerable moments of their lives. Over time, I became drawn to the deeper, longer-term work that is possible in therapy. I eventually took the leap into private practice, where I now have the privilege of building ongoing therapeutic relationships and helping clients better understand themselves, heal old patterns, and create meaningful change in their lives.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and curious. I believe our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors make more sense when we understand what they are trying to do for us. I often use IFS-informed parts work to help clients explore different parts of themselves with curiosity and compassion rather than judgment. I also draw from attachment-based, trauma-informed, CBT, ACT, and relational approaches depending on each client’s needs. I tend to be an active and engaged therapist, offering observations, asking thoughtful questions, and helping clients identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck. I especially enjoy working with adults navigating anxiety, relationships, life transitions, trauma, chronic illness, and questions of identity, boundaries, and self-trust.

What you can expect from me

I approach therapy as a collaborative process and believe that finding the right therapist is an important part of the work. Our first few sessions will focus on getting to know you, what brings you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from our time together. I especially enjoy working with clients who are curious about themselves and want to better understand the patterns, relationships, and past experiences shaping their lives today. Progress may look like greater self-understanding, increased self-compassion, healthier relationships, and feeling more confident navigating difficult emotions and making choices that align with your needs and values.
