Great to meet you!

Hello! I am so glad you are here. Living with constant stress or sadness, difficult relationships, and the effects of trauma can feel exhausting and isolating- but you don't have to navigate this alone. Growth, healing and change are possible.

My name is Tiffany Taylor and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with 26 years of experience helping teens and adults of all ages work through life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, eating disorders, trauma and PTSD. I have a specialized focus on complex trauma (CPTSD) and helping individuals recover from narcissistic or emotionally abusive relationships. For clients who desire a spiritual focus, I am skilled at integrating faith and spirituality into the therapeutic process.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, supportive and collaborative. I help clients understand the impact of their experiences, develop healthier coping strategies and rebuild a stronger sense of self. My work is trauma-informed and strengths based, and I integrate Psychodynamic therapy with Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) as well as DBT and Solution-Focused therapy interventions.

I truly love being a therapist and consider it an honor to come alongside individuals from all different cultures, backgrounds and walks of life. I believe therapy can be a powerful place for healing and growth when people feel safe enough to take emotional risks and reconnect with their authentic selves.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and it's completely normal to feel a little nervous at first. In our first session, we'll take time to get to know each other and talk about what's bringing you into therapy. I'll ask some questions about your current concerns, your background, and what you hope to gain from therapy.

You are always in control of what you share and we will move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you. My goal is to provide a supportive environment where you feel heard, respected and understood. Together, we'll begin identifying your goals and exploring how therapy can help you move forward.

Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is an important part of the process, and the first session is an opportunity for you to see whether working together feels like a good fit. My hope is that you leave the first session feeling genuinely heard, encouraged, with potential direction, and a little less overwhelmed than when you first came in.
