Great to meet you!

I obtained my Masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2024 from Midwestern State University! I have experience working in psychiatric crisis stabilization facilities, partial hospitalization programs, and also in private practice. During my time spent in inpatient and outpatient settings, I primarily worked with individuals who have experienced trauma, addiction, or need assistance navigating different life challenges. I'm currently working towards specializing in personality and mood disorders.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy looks like the client being in the driving seat, while I am simply the navigation. I am here to help you gain understanding of why you may be experiencing what you are experiencing and to give you insight on how to make necessary changes. We will dive into different aspects of your life to gain an even deeper understanding of your behaviors and patterns (think why you may have specific reactions to certain things or even why you may hold certain beliefs). I most often use CBT and DBT in sessions, however, each session is tailored to the client. There is no one size fits all approach.

What you can expect from me

I pride myself on being a laid back therapist. During your first session with me I will be asking a lot of questions, gaining information, with the goal of identifying the primary problem or problematic areas that need to get addressed. If something is a touchy subject for you in the moment, I won’t push! I truly believe that touchier topics should be explored and addressed after we’ve developed our therapeutic relationship and you feel ready to explore the hidden parts of yourself! With each therapy session, we will be going at your pace, the pressure is off!
