Great to meet you!

I’m Timothy Gonzalez, LICSW, with a Master’s in Clinical Social Work and additional education and specialized training in addiction studies, human development, and trauma. I bring over five years of direct clinical experience working with individuals across a range of ages, backgrounds, and life experiences, particularly within higher levels of care and intensive psychiatric settings. My work focuses on behavior, identity, mood, trauma, and substance use challenges, drawing from a variety of therapeutic approaches and emphasizing collaborative exploration.

My approach to therapy

I draw from several therapeutic modalities and tailor my approach to each person, using collaborative exploration to better understand what is happening and what you want to move toward. My goal is to build a genuine, supportive therapeutic relationship where we can work together at a pace that feels comfortable and meaningful to you.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a warm, nonjudgmental space to share what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from treatment. We’ll begin identifying the areas you’d like to explore together, while completing a brief assessment to better understand your needs and goals. My approach is collaborative, so we’ll work together to determine what feels most helpful moving forward.
