Great to meet you!

My name is Tim Pharo, Licensed Professional Counselor. I am 47 years old, an old athlete that still enjoys activities, I am a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. I have 3 wonderful children that I love to spend time with every opportunity I have. They really bring wonder, creativity, and joy to my life. I enjoy BBQ, cooking, nutrition, hiking, and good will amongst family and friends.

My approach to therapy

Greetings! Thank you for stopping by, my name is Tim Pharo, I have been a mental health professional for over 20 years. My orientation to counseling are 3 things. Self-improvement, Acceptance, and Spiritual awareness. I use several approaches with clients that come from modern-psychology to help them understand the science and themselves and spiritual/existentialism which is a psychotherapy and philosophy that addresses the human spirit. I hope to enjoy our work using techniques if applicable, socratic questioning, and hopefully to find relief and perspective throughout the counseling experience.

What you can expect from me

A first session is about relationship building (trust and competence), getting to the problem "what brought you here today", and discussing/planning a way forward. Included in that are some guidelines such as explaining duty warn, limits of confidentiality, financial responsibility, and the process of counseling.
