Great to meet you!

Hi! I’m Timitra, and I look forward to helping you reclaim your story, deepen self-awareness, and experience meaningful, sustainable healing. I work with adults navigating trauma, identity shifts, burnout, and major life transitions, including those in high-responsibility and helping roles such as first responders. My approach is trauma-informed, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. Together, we’ll explore your experiences with compassion and curiosity, honoring both your strengths and challenges while building resilience, emotional regulation, and lasting change in a safe, supportive space.

I specialize in trauma, addiction, OCD, Anxiety, and Depression. Using trauma-informed CBT, psychodynamic, and strengths-based approaches, I will guide you through processing your emotions, understand patterns, and build coping skills.

Healing can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to face it alone. I’m here to listen without judgment and support you through challenges that you face. Together, we’ll find your strengths and build the tools you need to move forward. Your story matters, and I’m here to help.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, client-centered, and evidence-based. I work with adults and teens experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, chronic stress, burnout, life transitions, identity concerns, and relationship challenges. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and strengths-based approaches to help clients develop practical coping skills, emotional regulation, and healthier thought patterns.

I provide an affirming, culturally responsive space for BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, first-generation professionals, caregivers, and individuals navigating systemic stress. Therapy with me focuses on healing, self-awareness, resilience, and sustainable change, helping clients move from feeling overwhelmed or stuck to feeling grounded, empowered, and confident.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, clients can expect a safe, supportive, and judgment-free environment. We’ll discuss what brought you to therapy, current symptoms such as anxiety, low mood, emotional numbness, or overwhelm, and what you’d like to work on. I’ll ask questions about your background, stressors, and supports while keeping the pace comfortable and collaborative.

The first session is also about building rapport and clarity, you don’t need to share everything at once. Together, we’ll begin identifying therapy goals and next steps so you leave feeling heard, validated, and hopeful, with a clearer understanding of how therapy can support your mental health and overall well-being.
