Timothy Cai

I am a licensed mental health counselor that has worked in outpatient, inpatient, and private practice settings. I obtained my Master's degree in mental health counseling in 2019, where I was educated on the psychodynamic approach. I have experience working with a range of issues including depression, anxiety, self esteem, addiction, co-ocurring disorders, and family issues.

Every client has unique needs and experiences, which need to be honored in order for therapy to be effective. I utilize an integrated approach, which includes person centered and psychodynamic therapy, as well as other therapies, and will work with you to tailor an approach that best suits your goals.

In our sessions, clients can expect to be provided a space free of judgment, where my curiosity and empathy will serve to guide both of us in understanding what makes you you. Through such understanding, clients can expect to be able to take ownership of and therefore better manage their experiences, thoughts, emotions, and actions, and less ruled or overwhelmed by them.
