Dr. Timothy Chen obtained his master's in marriage and family therapy from Pepperdine University as well as his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Denver. He completed his internship at the University of California, Irvine Counseling Center.
Dr. Chen provides psychotherapy to couples and adult individuals. Dr. Chen utilizes a psychodynamic, relational approach with individuals and emotionally focused therapy with couples.
Dr. Chen assist clients in identifying how their developmental histories influence their current relational dynamics. Understanding these dynamics may lead to more mindful decision-making that contributes to making different choices.
