Great to meet you!

I completed my PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy at Texas Tech University where my dissertation focused on coping and resilience in couples who have a child with Down Syndrome. I also hold a Master's degree in MFT from ACU. I work with couples, families, and individuals experiencing a wide range of life stressors. I have specific training in working with couples, and also have spent time working with Veterans, youth in the juvenile system, and adults wanting to improve where they are.

My approach to therapy

My training and utilization of systems theory provides my perspective. I approach therapy from the perspective that you are a part of multiple systems ( i.e. your family, job, neighbors, etc.). Changes in you (or others) can have a ripple effect of change on the systems you are part of. This can be good change, and often it takes some work to adjust to the change. Personally, it makes sense to me to take into account all of the different systems you are connected to in our work together.

What you can expect from me

I am committed to helping individuals, couples, and families achieve their personal goals and overcome challenges. I provide a safe and supportive environment where my clients can explore their thoughts and emotions and develop the skills and insights needed to navigate life's difficulties.
