Great to meet you!

I started my career in child welfare working with foster/adoptive families. I realized quickly that intergenerational trauma prevents families from healing. My deep passion to help these families led me to study in London at the world-renowned Anna Freud Center, a non-profit that specializes in family trauma. I have an MA in Counseling and a MS/PhD in Developmental Psychoanalytic Psychology. I specialize in Mentalization Based Therapy.

My approach to therapy

I have a deep working knowledge of family stress/trauma, relationships and attachment, which frames much of my work with adults as well as families. Relational issues with parents can impact us the rest of our lives and working through them can be the key to healthy, long-lasting relationships. I am an interactive therapist who strives to be very attuned to your feelings, thoughts, beliefs, etc. I listen deeply and help you understand your own mind as well as the minds of others.

What you can expect from me

I find that many adults who come to therapy have a history that involves a stressful or difficult childhood. I can help you understand your own trauma and how to move through this pain to regulate yourself, freeing you from unhelpful reactions and improving your relationships. I can help parents understand their emotional reactions to their children, reducing the stress of parenting.
