Great to meet you!

Hi! My name is Tina Bell and I'm a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I'm dedicated to helping individuals struggling with past trauma live happier, more fulfilling lives. I treat folks who experience depression, anxiety, emotional reactivity, low self-esteem, low self-worth, and limiting beliefs that block their potential to enjoy life and maintain meaningful relationships.

As a therapist, I believe in the transformative power of connection, growth and healing. I decided to become a therapist because I wanted to be a part of helping people remember their inner power, ability to heal and not feel alone in that process. Having worked with adults, foster youth and youth on probation, I've learned how resilient people are and the healing power of connection during vulnerable times. My experience working with underprivileged populations has given me a profound understanding of the unique human challenges we face and have the ability to overcome.

A bit about my approach to therapy

I am particularly passionate about EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based modality that has proven incredibly effective in helping folks find relief from suffering caused by trauma. My approach emphasizes building a strong foundation of internal resources, ensuring you feel confident and empowered before we gently navigate and reprocess more distressing memories.

What you can expect from our first session

During our initial session, we'll start with brief introductions. I'll explain EMDR and ask questions to help me understand what brought you to therapy. We'll then create a treatment plan together aimed at identifying past memories to reprocess that are contributing to your current problems. Clients have reported a greater sense of clarity, insight, empowerment, and emotional stability following EMDR treatment. In between sessions, clients often notice new insights, positive changes in their thought process and how they respond to issues that used to be significantly more distressing before treatment. Throughout treatment, these insights and victories are reinforced as new internal strengths and coping mechanisms, which serve as building resilience for overcoming future challenges.
