Great to meet you!

Starting therapy can feel like a big step, and I want you to know that you don’t have to take it alone. I work with adults 18 and older, with a special focus on neurodivergent individuals as well as those within the LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities. Many of my clients come to me seeking support for anxiety, depression, complex trauma, mood disorders, or family challenges, and together we create a safe and affirming space to explore what you’re experiencing. My approach is warm, compassionate, and direct. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), all through an attachment-based lens, to help you gain clarity, build coping skills, and strengthen your connection with yourself and others.

I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to my work. As someone with lived experience of neurodiversity and chronic conditions, and as a parent to a neurodivergent child, I understand how important it is to feel truly seen and supported. I hold a specialized master’s degree focused on neurodiversity and have completed my PhD in Professional Counseling with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Systems. My academic and personal backgrounds allow me to bridge empathy with evidence-based practice, offering care that is both informed and deeply human.

In our sessions, I like to incorporate practical tools and workbooks that help translate insights into everyday change. Therapy with me often feels like a meaningful conversation—one that balances compassion and curiosity with direction and growth. My goal is to meet you where you are, honor your experiences, and help you move toward a life that feels more balanced, confident, and authentic. Together, we’ll work to understand your story, strengthen your resilience, and create lasting change that feels achievable and empowering.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, empathetic, and grounded in genuine connection. I believe in creating a space where you feel truly heard and understood, while also being gently challenged to see things from new perspectives. I use reflective listening to help you feel supported and validated, but I’m also known for being direct and honest—I say what I see, with compassion and clarity, so we can address what’s really getting in the way of your growth. Over time, I pay close attention to the patterns and themes that emerge in our sessions, helping you recognize how certain thoughts and beliefs may be influencing your emotions and behaviors. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we work together to increase awareness of unhelpful thinking patterns and replace them with more balanced, realistic, and empowering ways of seeing yourself and the world around you. My goal is to help you gain insight, develop practical tools, and build lasting changes that support your overall well-being and sense of self.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, clients can expect a warm, conversational, and thoughtful experience focused on understanding both your current concerns and the person you are today. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy and what goals you’d like to work toward, while also exploring your background, childhood experiences, and family relationships to gain a deeper sense of your story. My goal is to create a comfortable and supportive environment where you feel safe to open up and begin making meaningful connections between past and present experiences. This initial session sets the foundation for our work together, helping us build a shared understanding and a direction that aligns with your unique needs and goals.
