Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience working in a variety of settings. My background includes outpatient counseling for adults, forensic mental health, and in-home therapy for children and teens facing significant behavioral and emotional challenges. As a Christian, my personal values emphasize compassion, integrity and respect for ALL people regardless of your beliefs. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive and non-judgmental space where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is a collaborative process built on trust, honesty and mutual respect. I try to help you identify patterns that may be keeping you 'stuck'. Challenging unhelpful ways of thinking and encouraging you to see a new perspective is one way we can work together to create meaningful, lasting change. I also like to sometimes suggest between-session exercises or homework to reinforce skills and support continued growth.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and where I can begin to understand your story. We'll move at a pace that's comfortable for you and talk about what brought you to therapy. I'll ask what you hope to gain from therapy and we will begin to develop a plan together.
