Great to meet you!

My name is Tina Herrera and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience working with children ad families in both the school setting and child protective services. Over the past seven years, I have focused on providing therapy to individuals, couples, and families. I am deeply passionate about my work and find great fulfillment in supporting my clients as they grow, overcome challenges, and achieve meaningful success.

My approach to therapy

I take a direct yet empowering approach to therapy, grounded in the belief that each client is the expert of their own life and fully capable of meaningful growth. I create a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you are encouraged to lead your own journey while feeling genuinely heard and understood. I focus on your strengths, helping you recognize your resilience and ability to overcome life’s challenges, while offering steady guidance and practical tools when needed. My role is not to direct your path, but to walk alongside you—providing encouragement, insight, and support as you build confidence, navigate difficulties, and move toward the life you want to create.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a comfortable, trusting relationship. This initial meeting is designed to help determine whether we are a good fit to work together. The environment is relaxed and conversational, allowing you to share about yourself and goals for therapy.
