Tina Marie James

I am a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner, who graduated from Walden University. I have about ten years of nursing experience in areas that include inpatient/outpatient psychiatry, medical-surgical, travel nursing, ER psych acute care, forensic and detox nursing. As a nurse practitioner, I provide mental health treatment to patients across the life span who have depression, anxiety, personality disorders, eating disorders, ADHD, substance use disorder, mood and psychotic disorders.

I strongly advocate for mental health care for my patients with being as humble, compassionate and caring while providing the best mental health treatment. Also, I strongly encourage patients to advocate for their mental health, while providing them with emotional support and motivational therapy. One of the most effective treatment plans includes medication management and psychotherapy as a combination.

I help to create a safe space and comfortable environment for my patients to express their thoughts and mental health concerns. Not only does physical health make up wellness but the mind, body and soul completes holistic care. Maintaining mental health care helps to create a healthy quality of life.
