I believe that profound growth and healing can happen when we sense that our story is truly acknowledged with care. Together we can empower you to improve your confidence, self-esteem, general approach to life, and any mental health, trauma, or addiction related symptoms you may be experiencing. With over 10 years of experience in the field of mental health, trauma, and addiction in many roles including, but not limited to primary counselor, illness management and recovery specialist, Seeking Safety clinician, and clinical director, I have significant training working with clients who are experiencing life transitions, mild, moderate, and severe mental health concerns, personality disorders, trauma, and both chemical and non-chemical addictions.
Starting therapy is an act of courage, and I value the bravery and individuality that each person brings to the process. When we choose to work together, we will do so collaboratively along the way. I’ll be here to listen, support you, and gently challenge you throughout your therapeutic journey. Open communication and vulnerability are cornerstones of a therapeutic relationship, and I will provide a safe, judgement-free environment for you to take steps towards self-exploration and positive change.
We'll start with an introductory session where you will have an opportunity to share your story and the outcomes you hope to achieve while in therapy. If you're unsure of your goals for therapy, that is perfectly okay! When we work towards increasing our self-awareness through exploration, the challenges and goals often present themselves and we can identify them together. My approach is inquisitive, direct, intuitive, and affirming. I strive to create a validating dynamic in which you will feel safe and secure exploring your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I am here when you feel ready and I look forward to working with you.
