Great to meet you!

With over 30 years of experience in the mental health field, I have had the privilege of working with children, adults, and older adults through many of life’s most difficult and defining moments. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that therapy should provide a safe space where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

I specialize in working with individuals experiencing trauma, depression, anxiety, obsessive thoughts and behaviors, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I also have extensive experience working alongside law enforcement and supporting first responders, giving me a unique understanding of the stress, trauma, and emotional demands that can accompany these professions.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I draw from evidence-based approaches while recognizing that therapy is not one-size-fits-all. I work to understand you as a whole person—your experiences, strengths, relationships, challenges, and goals—and tailor treatment to meet your individual needs. Whether you are navigating a difficult season, trying to heal from the past, or simply wanting to better understand yourself and create meaningful change, my goal is to help you move forward with greater confidence, clarity, and emotional well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is warm, compassionate, client-centered, and direct. I believe meaningful change happens when you feel safe enough to be honest, but also supported enough to challenge patterns that may no longer be serving you. I strive to create a space where you can feel heard and understood while also receiving honest feedback and practical guidance.

I meet clients where they are and tailor therapy to their individual needs, strengths, experiences, and goals. My style is collaborative and down-to-earth—I don’t believe therapy should feel clinical or one-sided. Together, we will explore what is happening beneath the surface, identify patterns, build practical coping skills, and work toward meaningful and sustainable change.

My work is informed by a strengths-based perspective and incorporates approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and solution-focused interventions. Whether we are addressing trauma, anxiety, depression, obsessive thoughts, relationship difficulties, or life transitions, my goal is to help you gain greater insight, develop healthier ways of coping, and feel more confident navigating your life and relationships.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin identifying what brought you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the experience. I strive to create a warm, comfortable, and judgment-free environment where you can speak openly and move at a pace that feels right for you. You will never be expected to share more than you are ready to discuss.

Together, we will explore your current concerns, relevant experiences, strengths, and the areas of your life you would most like to see change. We will begin developing clear, realistic goals for therapy and discuss what progress might look like for you. My hope is that you leave your first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how we can work together to help you move forward.
