Great to meet you!

If you're used to holding it all together, for your family, your work, or everyone around you, therapy can be the one place you don't have to. I'm Tisha, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 25 years of experience working with adults through some of life's most complex and deeply personal seasons. My clinical background includes work in complex, high-acuity settings, and I also bring experience in executive leadership, giving me a unique understanding of what it means to carry significant responsibility while navigating the very human challenges that happen behind the scenes. Clients who work with me often say they appreciate having a therapist who's genuine, engaged and easy to talk to, someone with whom they can finally exhale. My style is warm, direct, practical, grounded and occasionally funny. Therapy with me is a real conversation, not a clinical checklist or a series of quiet nods that leave you wondering. You don't need to have everything figured out before you walk through the door. This is a place where you can let your guard down, speak honestly and have a steady partner in your corner.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a meaningful conversation with someone who is genuinely engaged, not like you're talking into a void. I'll listen closely, ask thoughtful questions, help you recognize patterns and offer honest perspective and practical guidance when it's useful. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed and tailored to you. I draw from CBT, solution-focused, motivational interviewing, narrative, strength-based and trauma-focused approaches, but I don't believe in forcing people into a formula. Whether we're working through anxiety or depression, grieving a loss, recovering from burnout, untangling relationship or family patterns, or navigating a high-stakes decision at work, we'll focus on both understanding what's happening and finding meaningful ways forward. My goal is to create a space where you can be honest, gain clarity and make changes that actually fit your life.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will feel more like a real conversation than an intake interrogation. We'll talk about what's bringing you to therapy, what's been weighing on you, what you've already tried and what you'd like to be different. You don't need to tell me your entire life story in one sitting or arrive knowing exactly what your goals are. I'll ask questions, you'll have plenty of room to ask yours and we'll begin figuring things out together. By the end of our first session, my hope is that you feel genuinely heard, can exhale a little and have a clearer sense of where we might go from here. Just as importantly, you'll have a chance to decide whether I feel like the right therapist for you.
