Great to meet you!

Sometimes the past has a way of showing up in the present. You may find yourself feeling constantly on edge, replaying painful experiences, avoiding things that remind you of what happened, or struggling with grief that doesn't seem to follow a timeline. Anxiety and trauma can affect how you sleep, relate to others, make decisions, and see yourself. I work primarily with adults navigating trauma, PTSD, grief, and anxiety, and I understand that reaching out for support can be a significant step toward feeling more like yourself again.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, flexible, and collaborative. I believe you know yourself and your experiences better than anyone, and my role is to bring the clinical knowledge and tools that can help you make sense of what you're experiencing. I use an eclectic approach, drawing from different therapeutic strategies based on what fits your needs rather than relying on one method for everyone. When helpful, we'll also use therapeutic exercises between sessions to build on the work we're doing together and give you opportunities to practice new skills in everyday life. I will validate and affirm your experiences while also encouraging you to take an active role in the changes you want to make.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is an opportunity to get to know one another and begin understanding what brings you to therapy. We'll review your history, talk about what you've been experiencing, and explore your goals and expectations for our work together. You don't need to have everything figured out before we begin. My goal is to create a space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable enough to begin the work at a pace that supports both your safety and your growth.
