Great to meet you!

You may be doing everything you can to keep life moving forward while anxiety, depression, or painful experiences leave you feeling emotionally exhausted. Perhaps your mind rarely slows down, grief has changed the way you see yourself or your future, or relationship challenges have left you feeling misunderstood and disconnected from the people around you. I work with adolescents, adults, and seniors experiencing anxiety, depression, grief or loss, relationship issues, and trauma. These concerns can also overlap with stress management, cultural and ethnic issues, or PTSD, especially when personal experiences, relationships, and everyday responsibilities begin affecting one another. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I believe therapy should be a place where you can feel genuinely heard, accepted, and supported without judgment. Together, we can better understand what has been weighing on you, recognize the strengths you already carry, and develop healthier ways of coping that help you feel more grounded, confident, and connected to yourself and others.

My approach to therapy

Our work will make room for both the person you are and the relationships, culture, responsibilities, and experiences that have shaped you. We'll explore how anxiety, depression, grief or loss, relationship issues, and trauma may be affecting your emotional wellbeing, sense of self, and ability to connect with others. I draw from Strength Based Therapy to help you recognize the resilience, abilities, and personal resources you already possess, even during times when difficult emotions make those strengths harder to see. I may also use Motivational Interviewing to help you explore change without pressure, work through uncertainty, and strengthen your own reasons for moving forward. Behavioral approaches can help us identify patterns in your everyday responses and develop practical strategies that support healthier coping, emotional regulation, and meaningful changes in your daily life. Our sessions will be collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in your individual needs, balancing deeper self-understanding with practical tools that help you move toward the life and relationships you want to build.

What you can expect from me

You deserve a space where you can show up as yourself, feel genuinely understood, and explore difficult experiences without fear of judgment. During our first few sessions, we'll take time to understand what brought you here, what has been most difficult, and what you hope will feel different. Together, we'll establish meaningful goals that reflect your values, experiences, and the changes you want to make, while moving at a pace that feels comfortable for you. You can expect me to bring warmth, openness, and thoughtful encouragement to our conversations while creating an environment where you feel safe discussing difficult emotions, relationships, grief, cultural experiences, or painful memories. Progress may look like feeling less overwhelmed by anxiety, reconnecting with yourself when depression feels heavy, finding ways to carry grief without feeling defined by it, communicating more confidently in your relationships, or developing a greater sense of safety and emotional stability after difficult experiences. We'll continue checking in on your goals and adjusting our work based on what feels most helpful, helping you move forward with greater self-awareness, emotional balance, and confidence in yourself.
