Great to meet you!

Tiffani “TJ” Taylor-Jenkins is a Licensed independent Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Science Degree in Social work (Dual Focus) from The University of New England. TJ has a true commitment and genuine passion for working adolescents and young adults in conjunction with their families. They have years of experience working with these populations in a variety of settings, including government, schools, mental health agencies and private practice agencies.

My approach to therapy

TJ is a Queer Non-Binary therapist who is culturally competent, inclusive, sex positive and sensitive to the needs of the ever growing and changing populations we see. TJ focuses on a strengths-based, solution focused, narrative therapy approaches to aid and guide families and clients alike in overcoming their challenges and realizing their own potential and autonomy. TJ also promotes self exploration, self-determination and creating one’s own identity. TJ is invested in the well-being and growth of the populations they serve. They are truly invested in their client’s overall well-being and their client’s healing.

What you can expect from me

From the onset of us working together, you will find that I try to create a welcoming, open, fluid, and confidential space designed for you to share comfortably, without judgment and reassurance that you are being validated and held through your journey.

When we work together, there’s never any expectation to "fix" everything immediately. I look to understand your "why", to help navigate the sessions. The focus is on connection and fostering a safe-space rather than immediately diving into “the work”. You are in control of the pace of each session. We will collaboratively identify 1–3, goals to guide our future sessions and work together.
