Great to meet you!

When you've spent years being the person everyone depends on, it can be difficult to recognize when you need support yourself. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, anger, relationship challenges, or the lasting effects of trauma, you deserve a space where you don't always have to be strong or have everything figured out. As an Army Combat Veteran and retired law enforcement officer, I understand the pressures that come with high-stress environments, significant responsibilities, and experiences that can be difficult to put into words. I bring that perspective to my work, supporting adolescents, adults, and seniors. Whether you're adjusting to major life changes, managing grief, struggling with self-esteem, or feeling overwhelmed by family responsibilities, my goal is to help you feel heard, understood, and supported as you move forward.

My approach to therapy

Our work will make room for both the experiences that have shaped you and the person you want to become. Together, we'll explore how anxiety, depression, anger, relationship difficulties, and trauma may be affecting your thoughts, emotions, and everyday life. I take an open-minded, empowering approach while also challenging you to recognize patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), we'll work on identifying unhelpful thought patterns and developing healthier ways to respond to difficult situations. Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) will help us build on your existing strengths and identify practical steps toward meaningful change. I also incorporate behavioral modification techniques to support healthier habits and emotional responses, along with cognitive behavioral family therapy to better understand relationship dynamics and improve communication. My approach is collaborative, practical, and tailored to your needs, with an emphasis on helping you develop tools you can use beyond our sessions.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel unfamiliar, especially if you're used to handling challenges on your own. In our first sessions, I'll take time to understand your experiences, what brought you to therapy, and what you hope will be different in your life. You can expect honest conversations, thoughtful questions, and a supportive environment where you can speak openly without fear of judgment. My style is open-minded, challenging, and empowering, which means I'll listen with compassion while also encouraging you to explore new perspectives and take meaningful steps forward. We'll work together to establish realistic goals, recognize progress, and develop strategies that help you navigate difficult emotions, strengthen relationships, and build confidence in yourself. My hope is that you leave our work feeling more in control of your life, better equipped to handle challenges, and confident in your ability to create lasting change.
