Great to meet you!

I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology/Counseling from California Southern University, and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who resides and practices in Missouri. I believe therapy should be useful in your everyday life, not just something we talk about in session, so I focus on helping you understand what’s going on and how to apply it in a real, practical way.

I work with men from all backgrounds, including first responders, around topics like stress, emotional expression, substance use, and behaviors that can be difficult to talk about. I understand that there’s often pressure to keep things to yourself, stay strong, and handle things on your own—even when it starts to take a toll.

Whether it’s work stress, relationships, habits you want to change, or just feeling stuck, you don’t have to have a certain job or experience to benefit from therapy. If something’s weighing on you, it matters.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is relaxed, supportive, and nonjudgmental. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself and talking openly about what’s going on in your life—without pressure or fear of being judged. Choosing to be here is already a sign of strength and insight. It means you’re willing to look at things honestly and take steps toward change, and that’s not always easy. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, because therapy isn’t about rushing—it’s about understanding.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my main goal is to create a relaxed and comfortable space where you can start to share what’s been going on in your life. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out—we’ll just start where you are. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you’d like to get out of the process.

I’ll ask some questions to better understand your background and current concerns, and this is also your chance to see if I’m a good fit for you. We’ll begin identifying a few initial goals, knowing they can change over time. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, with the focus on helping you feel supported while starting to make sense of what’s going on and where you want to go.
