Great to meet you!

I’m Dr. Todd Tedrow, a licensed clinical social worker and professor with over 30 years of experience in healthcare, education, and clinical practice. I specialize in helping clients who feel disconnected—socially, emotionally, or in their relationships—develop greater insight, clarity, and confidence. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, identity shifts, grief, or relationship patterns, I provide a grounded, thoughtful space to better understand yourself and move forward with intention.

My approach blends trauma-informed care, narrative therapy, DBT, and interpersonal psychotherapy. Clients often describe my style as calm, collaborative, and deeply reflective. I work especially well with people who are insightful but stuck—those who’ve spent years giving to others or adapting to environments, and now want to reconnect with themselves and others in more authentic ways.

My approach to therapy

I offer a warm, collaborative space for clients to explore the deeper patterns shaping their emotions, relationships, and sense of identity. My approach integrates narrative therapy, DBT skills, interpersonal psychotherapy, and trauma-informed care, helping you gain clarity, build emotional regulation, and strengthen your connections with others. Whether you’re navigating life transitions, recovering from loss, or struggling with loneliness or disconnection, therapy with me is both reflective and skills-based. We’ll explore your story, identify what no longer serves you, and develop the insight and tools needed to move forward with intention and authenticity.

What you can expect from me

In your first session with me, we’ll slow things down and get curious—about your story, your relationships, and what brought you here. I’ll guide us in exploring both the patterns that feel stuck and the strengths you’ve been carrying, often unnoticed. You can expect a warm, collaborative space where we look at what’s working, what isn’t, and how therapy can support your goals.

I’ll ask thoughtful questions, offer initial reflections, and help you begin connecting the dots. Whether you’re navigating identity, emotional overwhelm, or disconnection from others, we’ll begin building insight, language, and strategies that can support real change. Most importantly, you’ll leave the session with a sense of being seen and understood—and with a roadmap for where we might go next, together.
