I'm a Georgia Peach with a New Jersey Swag. I am from Newark, New Jersey but I lived in Georgia for about 15yrs. I have that southern touch along with that New Jersey toughness. I love helping people obtain their goals in life. I have been in the field of counseling for over20yrs. I know counseling works because I've personally tried it. Counseling is my 2nd career in life and my combination of education and life experiences tends to be a great match for helping others.
I am a eclectic therapist who will complete a thorough assessment to see what will work for you. I specialize in trauma. I am a Co-Chair of the Piscataway Police Department Domestic Violence Crisis Intervention Team and I have served as a SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) member for the Middlesex Prosecutor's Office. I work with people ages 6 and up. Currently, I am seeing clients virtually due to Covid-19. I help people renew their faith and apply skills that can change their lives.
Clients can expect a compassionate therapist who most people will be able to connect with easily. I prepare educational and interactive sessions that can sometimes be fun. I utilize worksheets, youtube, movie clips and games in sessions. I work with my clients as a team. I am honest and upfront. I am clear and I enjoy hearing feedback. I am serious about my clients treatment so I provide consistent treatment but I am flexible and understanding if you need to cancel or reschedule in advance.
