Tomeka Slaughter

I am a graduate of St. Louis University in St. Louis, MO, where I earned my MSW. I began my social work career with a mental health agency in St. Louis, MO, where I served children and families with mental health issues. After 9 years of service with this agency, I departed to begin my career in school social work with St. Louis Public Schools where I have remained since 2014. I recently acquired my LCSW in the state of Illinois. I will be servicing both adults and children.

I specialize in practicing the trauma-informed modality utilizing the cognitive-behavioral therapy technique. My focus is in developing the total well-being of my clients (mentally, physically, financially, and socially) to enhance their daily lives.

My clients can expect to take away from me a sense of purpose in life and knowing that their mental well-being is their most valuable asset.
