Great to meet you!

Great to meet you! I'm a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and other mood-related concerns. I identify as Native American and Hispanic, and throughout much of my career, I have had the privilege of serving Native American communities across more than eight reservations throughout the United States. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to culturally sensitive, patient-centered care and have deepened my understanding of the diverse factors that influence mental health.

I bring experience from both psychiatric and primary care settings, which allows me to look at your mental health through a comprehensive lens that considers both your emotional and physical well-being. My style is direct, solution-oriented, and open-minded. I believe in getting to the heart of what's weighing on you and working together to find practical solutions that fit your life.

Life's challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming, but you don't have to face them alone. My goal is to provide a supportive, compassionate environment where you feel heard, understood, and empowered to make meaningful changes in your life.

My approach to therapy

I believe in a holistic approach to treatment that recognizes the important connection between mind, body, and spirit. While medication management can be an important part of treatment, I also emphasize lifestyle factors that contribute to emotional well-being, including nutrition, physical activity, sleep, stress management, and healthy daily habits. My goal is to work collaboratively with each individual to create a personalized treatment plan that supports lasting wellness.

I don't believe in one-size-fits-all solutions. Instead, we'll work together to understand what's been contributing to your struggles and identify the best path forward, whether that includes medication management, lifestyle changes, or a combination of approaches that honor your values and your goals.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we'll talk about what brought you in and what you're hoping will change. I'll ask questions to understand your mental health history, your physical health, your lifestyle, and any previous treatments you've tried. We'll also discuss your cultural background and any factors that are important to your healing journey.

You can expect a direct, honest conversation where you feel truly heard and respected. My goal is for you to leave our first session with a clear understanding of your treatment options and a personalized plan that supports your path toward improved mental wellness.
