I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist and I hold a Masters of Science for clinical mental health counseling. I am currently a PhD candidate for Counselor Education and Supervision which I hope to utilize for research purposes in making lasting positive social change for the future. I cater to most of the forms of mental health needs with my expertise most notably with major depression, anxiety, panic disorder, PTSD, bipolar, and ADHD. I have the most experience with populations involved with domestic violence, substance abuse, relationship issues, behavioral concerns, and women's issues. I have a natural ability to adapt to the needs of those I serve to give the best care I can for any presenting concerns. I believe in a collaborative approach as we are truly masters of our own destinies and with a solid support system we can come to embody our true selves.
I first and foremost truly honor the therapeutic alliance that lays the foundation to a collaboration effort where true healing and trust can occur. This allows for deep and impactful healing modalities to be utilized and for an authentic interaction to manifest into higher thinking, as well as guiding clients to attain a growth mindset for long term positive change. I tend to seek out the patterns formed from youth or difficult experiences, that hinder ones forward movement, enhance self-awareness of this, and help unearth the best approaches for each unique individual. This allows an individual to unlearn detrimental cycles which gives a release of stuck, heavy emotions that burden our day to day experiences. I also highly respect an existential approach to face hard truths and crisis and pull meaning from traumatic events and daily stressors to live more peacefully in the present moment.
Empowerment, resilience, and motivation is the overall goal when working with individuals in order for them to come to understand their own worth and purpose which helps to reduce emotional turmoil in its many forms. I also truly pride myself on being extremely relatable and authentic, coming from a place of life experience and not only education. I will always do my best to be as supportive, nonjudgmental, and empathetic as someone may need in their most troubling or darkest moments.
