Great to meet you!

I’m Toni Rahman, a licensed clinical social worker with specialized training in both social work and biopsychology. I work primarily with people healing from childhood trauma, abuse, and neglect, including those who learned early on to disconnect from their bodies just to get through the day. In our work together, I’ll help you gently reconnect with the emotional messages your body has been holding onto, at a pace that feels safe. My goal is to create a grounding, nonjudgmental space where you can begin to honor your own needs, trust your inner wisdom, and move toward a life that feels more authentic, peaceful, and aligned with who you truly are.

My approach to therapy

At the heart of my work, I am a deep and compassionate listener. I believe that being fully seen and heard can be profoundly healing, especially for those who have felt overlooked or silenced. I integrate a range of mind–body and trauma-informed approaches, including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), CranioSacral Therapy & SomatoEmotional Release, Chinese Five Element Theory, dream exploration, Quantum Touch, and energy balancing. Together, we’ll use these tools to gently access and release old patterns, support your nervous system, and build new ways of relating to yourself and others. Therapy with me is collaborative, curious, and tailored to your unique story.

What you can expect from me

From the very beginning, I’ll be thinking with you about what “feeling better” could look like in your life—whether that’s relief from specific symptoms, more stable relationships, or simply feeling less exhausted by it all. If you’re not sure what your goals are yet, that’s completely okay; we’ll discover them together. I pay close attention to the language you use, the patterns that keep showing up, and the way you speak to yourself, especially when you’re struggling the most. Over time, our work will focus on releasing long-held wounds and learning to treat yourself as someone who truly matters. You can expect a calm, respectful, and validating space where all parts of you are welcome, and where the “real you” that’s been buried under years of coping can gradually come forward.
