Great to meet you!

I’m a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 11 years of healthcare experience. Before specializing in psychiatry, I worked in the Burn ICU and outpatient procedural settings, where I learned the importance of caring for the whole person during some of life’s most difficult moments. I earned my nursing degree from UNC Chapel Hill and my Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, and especially enjoy helping people navigate ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and major life changes—like school, relationships, career stress, or grief—that can leave us feeling overwhelmed or stuck.

My approach to therapy

I’m pretty direct, but I’m also warm and easy to talk to. I want you to feel comfortable asking questions, be honest about what’s working and what’s not, and feel assured we are on the same page. I know a lot of people are hesitant about medication, and that’s okay. For some people, medication is a short-term tool during a difficult season, and for others it becomes an important part of long-term wellness. My goal is to use medication thoughtfully—when it’s helpful—while also supporting you with therapy, coping skills, and understanding the bigger picture of what’s going on in your life.

What you can expect from me

The first session is really about getting to know you—not just your symptoms, but your story. We’ll talk through what’s been going on, your history, what you’ve already tried, and what you’re hoping will be different. You only have to share what you feel comfortable sharing. By the end of the visit, we’ll have a plan that feels realistic and gives direction for what comes next.
