Great to meet you!

Thank you for considering me as part of your journey. Whether this is your first experience with therapy or you've worked with a therapist before, my goal is to provide a space where you can better understand yourself, work through life's challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change. I contract with Headway to provide insurance-covered individual therapy. Couples counseling and private-pay services are offered separately through my practice, Finding Your Peace Counseling.

While I welcome adults from many backgrounds, I often work with women navigating difficult relationships, betrayal, anxiety, self-worth, people-pleasing, and major life transitions. Many of my clients appreciate having a balanced perspective that combines compassion with honest, practical feedback. I tend to work well with adults whom are 22 years of age or older.

My approach to therapy

I enjoy helping clients understand why they think, feel, and respond the way they do. When people understand the "why," lasting change becomes much more achievable. I enjoy learning and teaching

Attachment.

Family systems.

Relationship dynamics.

Communication.

Boundaries.

Trauma responses.

My hope is that you leave my office understanding yourself better. Notice, I did not say fixed, I said understanding! That is what its all about in my belief in therapy.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, my priority is getting to know you—not just the concerns that brought you in, but the experiences that have shaped your life. We'll discuss what's currently happening, what you've already tried, and what you hope will be different through therapy. I'll probably ask questions such as:

• What brought you to therapy now?

• If therapy were successful, what would your life look like?

• How can I best support you?

My style is warm, direct, collaborative, and honest. I won't simply nod along—I ask questions, offer observations, teach practical skills, and help connect the dots between your experiences and your current struggles. Please remember, counseling is collaborative, with that being said, I like to talk to with you briefly before making an appointment. If either of us don't feel like this is a good fit, I can still support you with a plethora of referrals.
